There are a lot of girls who call themselves romantics who write their own romance stories and watch romantic comedies and really just long for someone to be with, but really, they aren't "romantics", they are just lonely. I know, I used to be one. Still, the girls aren't annoying like the men, because they don't do the things the men do.

Now for the "romantic" men. I say "romantic" because I believe that there are real romantic men, and then there are men who call themselves "romantic", in face, it's so annoying, I should put the word men in quotations as well.

They are so lonely, so desperate to be loved, that they will flirt with every girl they see, just to think, "She could be the one, or her, or her", and they aren't realizing that the girls that they are flirting with are seeing that they aren't the only one, and they are revolted. I know. I was one of those girls.
They are so eager to be loved, that they will throw themselves at everything with a pretty face, even if they know nothing about the person behind it. For some reason, I keep meeting more and more of these guys, and they are the most frustrating, because they seem so awesome at first, then tell you that they are in love with someone, who you later learn they JUST met them. They rush into puppy "love", because they are so stoked that someone attractive likes them. And they aren't always unattractive, a lot of them ARE attractive.

But then, the girl that they have "fallen in love with" gets a bit creeped out, and they get super emo, and they say things like, "I'm giving up". Grow up.

You aren't a romantic. You are lonely. Be yourself. Don't rush things. And most of all, do NOT say 'I love you' - at least not for 6 months. I cannot tell you how annoying it is to hear that after 2 weeks, a month, a month and a half - especially when you are expecting to hear it back.
